Hello & Welcome to my 51st episode of the
KWH iPad Show! Today’s feature is a pretty petaled blog by one of the sweetest bloggers you ever will read 🙂

With a mere 53 followers, I’m thinking Myra’s blog is one of the best kept secret treasures on WordPress! It was about this time last year when she found my blog and our friendship just blossomed from there ❤ Yup, there’s definitely something special about Myra! Perhaps it’s the charm of her english as a second language, or her nearly 80-year sense of gracious strength and determination, or her lovingly humble way with words… Whatever it is, she’s got it! Visit her blog and you’ll likely agree 🙂

So now at nearly 80 years of age, Myra has taken up blogging as a way of introducing her english version of “Everlasting Blossoms & Butterflies” (first published in Taiwan, 2011). Her story is a true family memoir, beginning about 100 years ago when her mom was a young girl in early 1900’s China. The story’s focus is about how her mom’s “Everlasting Blossoms” floral crochet designs came to be.

the KWH iPad Show #12 💜 Lily for a Day

frowning Mac computer

.
Hello & Welcome
to my 12th episode of the
KWH iPad Show!

Today’s feature is the first daylily bloom
from our front yard garden bouquet 🙂

.

pink daylily

Hey everyone! … Meet our first daylily of the year 🙂 Isn’t she lovely? Today’s photos are technically the season’s third bloom (all pink). But with a name like daylily… well… Who’s counting anyway, right?!?

We have three daylily plants in our front garden—pink, peach and purple. At least that’s how I remember it, since it’s been a while and all my daylily photos from last year are currently stuck (hopefully safely stuck) on my iMac-less hard drive :-/ I’d hoped to post photos of those, but didn’t make it in time before my iMac quit. Last year’s first daylily blooms were peach and are posted here. Wow… this year’s garden is way ahead of last year! Perhaps next year will be ripe for the purple plant to bloom first? Let’s get together here again next summer to find out! 🙂

Anyway, there’s something festive about the first flowers of the season! Now at the risk of boring you, please indulge me whilst I “make like a squirrel” and pack my knitting blog with a few flowering summer photos—in preparation for the flowerless months ahead 🙂

the KWH iPad Show #8 💜 buzzing blossoms & lilacs & leafy sunsets… Oh May!

Hello & Welcome
to my 8th episode of the
KWH iPad Show!

Today’s feature is abuzz with leafy sunsets
and the season’s first garden bouquet 🙂

.

budding mid-May sunset

Now that it’s June, I thought it might be fun to post a few floral foliage photos/video (captured, edited and watermarked via my iPad) of our garden bouquet from the last half of May 🙂

May felt warm like actual summer, yet the trees in our yard were as bare as Old Mother Hubbard’s cupboard! :-/ The first week of May brought showers of snow. But then it barely sprinkled, until finally raining last week. Yup, and our trees were leafless so long that I actually dressed then in yarn … LoL … Spring fever, anyone?!? Ah well, it seemed like a woolerful idea at the time 😉

Oh, but now see how our garden has grown! First came the leaves, followed by the bees. Bees all abuzz with the pollination of blooming bushes and apple/lilac blossoming trees! It’s all quite aromatic—if you don’t look at the weeds! 😛 And still daylight grows, for another couple of pre-solstice weeks 😀

.

Whewww… that’s a giant photo gallery! It took forever to process via my iPad, but I think I’m getting faster at it and learning lots… Apparently, this is what happens when you don’t get to see petals or leaves for half the year! :-/ Yup, and in another 5-6 months (when that “other” season roars back into town) this pictorial labour of love post will be my mind’s momentary getaway… savouring the scent, sight and bee buzzing sounds of a blossoming summer 🙂

a Heart-Felted Wild Rose Bouquet for Mother’s Day ❤

Sweetie❤Knit❤Heart-Felted Wild Rose Bouquet for Mother's Day ||| Knitting With HeartBoth our moms live 2-3 provinces away and I’m not a mom, so Mother’s Day celebrations at our place are generally phone calls with something along the lines of floral delivery. Thankfully, love knits us together from afar ❤

Here in blogland, it’s been my pleasure to follow along with many moms who blog about their motherly adventures. And today, I’d like to share a few of their links.

Flowers are a heart-felt way to express love on Mother’s Day. And this year, I just felt like felting a floral Sweetie❤Knit❤Heart bouquet. This first wild bunch of roses blossomed nicely, albeit too late for today’s delivery. But now with the seeds planted, this garden shall surely grow into a floral harvest for all-seasons.

Wishing a yarn bouquet of joy this Mother’s Day
to loving moms everywhere  ❤ Jackie
