#60 💜 March snow on a beautiful day
Hello & Welcome to my 60th episode of the KWH iPad Show! Today’s feature is the beauty of our (now melted) March snow-scape 🙂
March was (as always) a wild month of snow, blue skies and beautiful days. It had us dressing for everything from ferocious cold to summery shorts/T-shirt weather. Yup… shorts in March, here at the 53rd parallel N on the Canadian prairies! ❤ It entered like a lamb and inspired me to clown around 😉 But then (from March 7-9), it roared like a lion and raised our snowbanks to waist-height By month’s end, the snow was pretty well all melted and March felt like a warm ‘n fuzzy lamb… LoL … and that’s sNOw April Fools joke! 😉
Sure luvin’ this early start to another season of spun in the sun! Literally a breath of fresh air for outdoor knitting, spinning, reading, lunching and yard-work activities! Plus, now that winter’s over and spring’s been sprung, I’m snoOow glad to have paused for pics before all the melting was done!
Bonus .GIF … woohoo!
Your feedback is important, to me!

Oh? Hmmm… don’t those drops know they’re out of season?!? 😉 We actually got our first real rain of the season, yesterday. Only a couple of minutes, but good for melting the last stubborn patches of snow 🙂 The sound of it surprised me, since it’s been so long… Hope those rain clouds go away today, so you can get back to sunshiny rays! 🙂 💜 Jackie@KWH

Thank you. Loved the pictures. Is Knitting with heart a craft store where your beautiful things are sold? Comments about snow and spring time changes very relevant to us here even though it is Autumn coming into winter. all the chilly winds and then Summer heat. I enjoy visiting your blog. Always something to enjoy and relax thinking about. Cheers!

Thank you Faye ❤ Actually, I'd initially planned to sell my knitting patterns through the blog. But then my iMac died. Now on the iPad, that dream has been put on hold So far, I've only published 2 designs—one free and one for purchase. Thanks for asking! 🙂
Indeed, your weather is a world of difference from ours! We're really looking forward to warming up and I hope you're enjoying your cooling conditions! 🙂 💜 Jackie@KWH

Happy spring indeed, dear Sarah! 😀 But uh ohhh… not good if the pics are a no-show Has this happened at my blog before? If you can spare the time to try again, I’m hoping you’ll see a GIF with the same pics attached at the end of the post… Hoping that works and thanks so much for your feedback! 🙋💌💝🙏🤗 💜 Jackie@KWH

Woo-Hoo! It worked!! Thanks, Jackie for the Bonus.GIF! 😀 You´re the best! My, oh my – so much snow!! It´s just amazing! And then it´s all gone! Like it was never there! Great slideshow of before and after the melting, Jackie 😀
And no, this problem was a first, so no worries! 🙂 Also thanks for the U2 vid – one of my favorite bands ever and one of my favorite songs!!! 🙂 ❤ 🌷🌸

Oh wOw Sarah ❤ thanks for popping by again so quick and letting me know the GIF pics worked! It took me longer than that just to decide on a title for this post—including the words March + snow + beautiful—since the U2 video came first 😉
Yup, snow really is rather amazing stuff. It falls, so you shovel it somewhere and it stays put… Then for the next 4 months, you wish it wasn't there… Then suddenly, a flurry of picture-taking excitement hits and you run around catching it as fast as your camera can, before it all melts… LoL … People are strange creatures! Or maybe that's just me :O
Wishing you a truly beautiful day, Sarah 🙂 💜 Jackie@KWH

You´re very welcome, Jackie! 🙂 I´m just glad I could watch your lovely show 😀
Will you believe it? We had only three days of snow this winter!!! I´m so glad I decided to enjoy them the best I could 🙂
Look forward to your next post – maybe you´ll show some nice spring pictures then? 😉
Have a very lovely Sunday! xoxoxo ❤

Indeed… so glad you seized the season, Sarah 🙂 Hey, and would you believe we had anOther snow day here? Yup! Completely normal for our region. It didn’t last, of course, since the ground had already begun to thaw 🙂 Spring pics of buds/blooms will be a few weeks yet, though
Trust your weekend was in full bloom and wish you a wonderful week ahead, Sarah! 💕🌷🌼🌻😎 🙂 💜 Jackie@KWH

I can imagine that very well! It´s not actually snowing around here, but quite cold again and I had to put on gloves and a hat today! Winter has not finished with us yet 😉 But Spring is stubborn and will win in the end – hurray! 🙂
Have a wonderful and lovely weekend too, Jackie! 🌷😘💕 ❤

Oh boy, hat/gloves in April sounds quite cool for you guys. Hope your weather has improved, by now! Winter’s not leaving quietly here either. Twice melted, then dumped 20 cms of fresh, super-wet/heavy premium snowman-making material on Good Friday :O Sounds crazy, but same as 4 years ago… LoL … So really just our normally wild weather… sigh… I do love a few extra days to wear my fun-fur knit scarves, though 😉 Hope you’re enjoying a lovely Easter weekend, Sarah ❤ 😘🙏🌷😍😎 💜 Jackie@KWH

Hi Jackie! Hope you had a wonderful Easter weekend! Any more snow? 😉 We had quite a lot of hail actually which is so much worse because you can´t make snowman out if it 😉
Hope you have fun knitting you scarfs! I´ve just finished knitting my first pair of knit/felt slippers! If I may say so: they look really nice! Going to post them and the socks in the next days 🙂
Wish you a beautiful week with lots of springy sunshine and flowers! 🙂 ❤ xoxo

Love those carpet slippers and cheery socks, Sarah ❤ Slippers are the protectors of pretty handmade socks 🙂 Hail is not good at all, though! It's fast 'n furious and packs a damaging punch… wAy worse than snow! Worse even than our snow, which just keeps falling Happily snapped a pic of our last bit of Easter weekend's 20+ cms snow, yesterday… Then today, woke up to another white blanket… sigh… Ah well, this too shall melt! Snow in May is not unusua either, but at least it brightens everything up 🙂 Wishing you have a wonderful week of warm weather and pleasant activities! 😍☔️🌷😎💝🤗 💜 Jackie@KWH

Thanks so much for loving my slippers and socks, Jackie! 🙂 I like your idea of calling the slippers the protectors! 🙂
The wild weather continues around here. Announcements have already been made that fruits are going to be extremely expensive this year because the farmers have taken steps to protect the trees from the cold by wrapping them and their precious load and naturally are going to hand off the extra costs to the consumers. Wish I had my own garden!!
I keep my fingers crossed for the spring season finding its way to you soon!
Wish you a beautiful and lovely week! 🙂 ❤ xoxo

Yup… life is getting expensive! Hope price hikes won’t be too drastic Our snow’s gone (again!!!), but the weather’s been quite grey/drizzly. They keep predicting 2 days of warm sunshine at the end of the forecast. But then each day they move the sun over one day… LoL … Ain’t nobody fallin’ for that ol’ trick 😉 Ah well, at least the socks are protected 😉 🙂 Wishing you a bright/uplifting rest of your week, Sarah! 🙂 💜 Jackie@KWH

Well, the bulk of our rain came in Jan-Feb and it was very plentiful. But it has slowed quite a bit in March. By the end of Apr-May, we won’t see rain again for 5-6 months. Just hope the snow caps on the mountains melt properly so we get the water we need!

Wishing you a wonderful Easter weekend, Steve ❤ Wow, difficult to imagine 5-6 months without rain :O Hope your mtn melt can keep pace! We shovelled 20 cms of super-wet/heavy semi-solid water on Good Friday. Hoping that's finally it for this year Thankful for God's provision and strength, as required! 🙂 💜 Jackie@KWH

LoL … yup… add another 5-10 cms of fresh flakes this AM—still well within God’s normally expected provision 😉 Ah well… already melting and the shovel’s staying put! Hope you’re enjoying some of that summer weather we’re dreaming about! 🙂 💜 Jackie@KWH

Jackie, I tell you one can get too much of a “good thing!” I feel about all of the sunshine as you do about the snow. I like the seasons change, but there’s just “winter-summer” and “summer-summer” out here in Ca.

LoL Steve 🙂 Sounds like me when we lived outside Vancouver, BC… where it rains a LOT… Missing the snow, I’d say all we ever got was nice and less nice weather 😉 💜 Jackie@KWH

We were hit with horrific storms and all of the delicate spring buds on the trees were blown off. But now they are starting to make a come back. Spring has sprung, I hope.
