Hello & Welcome to my 58th episode of the KWH iPad Show! Today’s feature is a snowy bit of fibrous fun 😍

Oh how I love to watch snow melt—especially after being surrounded by it since November. Friday’s mild temperatures melted a lot of snow, so I grabbed a few colourful props and ran outside to enjoy the show! Yup… gotta ❤ a good ol’ fibrously fun backyard yarn-bombing photo shoot 🙂 Later that night, a storm blew into town and re-blanketed us in several inches of white :-/ But oh well, it was fun while it lasted…

The golfing clown is a Jean Greenhow design. This half-knitted WIP of mine has been cooped up in the back of my yarn closet for … gulp … years! Really wanna/oughta/gotta get around to finishing that guy! Fun to take him out to play in the snow, though! 😉 Want to try this at home? M’ Snow Lady’s face uses a pink Bramble❤️TINI for her nose and 2 green Hearty Links with Felted Loops for eyes and mouth 🙂

    • Thanks Sarah ❤ Yeah… those big green heart-shaped eyes with loopy grin really brought her to life! Adding the heart-wreath bouquet made her a blushing bride 🙂 Our entire forecast is below average temps, so spring will likely be another month… sigh :-/ Hoping for another mild day to try these pics again, though!

Love hand-knit socks! What colour are you knitting yours? Hope you have a wonderful week! 🙂 💜 Jackie@KWH

      • You´re very welcome, Jackie! 🙂 I love ideas like yours, the photos are just great! So much fun to look at and I guess even more doing them 😉
How come that spring is always so shy coming forth whereas winter has no problem at all with that?? Being stuck in snow since November must be so hard! I had been hoping for another snowfall but we only had the one in the beginning of January… as for now, I´ve decided that there´s no need for it anymore as I want it to be summer! 😀
The socks are a light gray with neon pink cuff, heel and pink 😉 They´re so much fun to do, aren´t they?
Wish you a beautiful week! xxxxxx 🙂 ❤

        • awe thanks Sarah ❤ Love those colours for cheery socks! Yeah, great fun to play like a kid in the snow and add a dash of colour to the long winter! Spring truly is much too shy, while winter is not shy at all :-/ January is a good month for snow—gotta have some snow! Fresh flakes have fallen a few times after these pics were posted …sigh… Lots to shovel! But this week's forecast predicts melting for those snowbanks and I'm looking forward to another glimpse at our grass 🙂 Wishing you a lovely weekend of sock knitting and some summer weather soon! 🙋😍💕🤗 💜 Jackie@KWH

          • Hi Jackie! 🙂 My mum decided she wants exactly the same socks, so I´m still knitting 😉 Maybe I´ll post them when I´m finished 🙂
I´ve never shoveled snow in my life! Around here in Berlin there really is never much of it around… But I bet it´s good workout 😉 I´ll keep my fingers crossed that those snowbanks of yours are going to melt soon and that you can enjoy more glimpses at your grass 😉 Today I saw the first crocuses! hurray!! 🙂
Have a lovely week, my friend! 🙂 ❤ xxxxxxx

            • awe so sweet, Sarah ❤ Hope you do post your mother/daughter socks. That'd be a cute Mother's Day post 🙂

Yup, shovelling is a great workout! Also getting to be quite the stretch, with some snowbanks now waist-high. No complaints, but the weather's been ferociously cold too :-/ But spring is on its way! And starting yesterday, all daytime highs are +Cº … currently +6ºC … yay!!! Hope your week's been going well and wishing you a lovely day! 🙋😘💕❤️🤗 🙂 💜 Jackie@KWH

Yeah! You are BAAAACK again! And this subscription is working!

I always loved getting your comments and articles on Facebook, but I just had to quit FB for my sanity’s sake. So much time was wasted and so much needed to be done. Subscribing to your articles this way is great.

Today I actually managed to sandwich the layers of a mando bag I had pieced earlier. Now for the quilting and assembly… Yes! Yesterday I managed to altar a pair of pants to fit. Cutting out FB promises to give me a life again. Maybe I can actually get back to knitting and crochet and feel useful there too. I have the yarn just sitting in storage.
