#55 ๐Ÿ’œ O’ snOwy night & day pics… plus music video… O’ Holy Night by Home Free

the KWH iPad Show logo

Hello & Welcome to myย 55th episode of the KWH iPad Show! Todayโ€™s feature is our recent snowfall ๐Ÿ™‚

Ooooh… the snowy night & day scene outside our front door looks divine! Fresh flakes are just snooow pretty, aren’t they? And especially the first snowfall of fresh flakes! That’s why my trusty iPad & I always try to pixelate ’em asap upon arrival ๐Ÿ™‚

These photos are actually our second snowfall of the season! The first was early October, way back when the trees still had all their green leaves!!! Much earlier than I’d have liked, albeit quite a pretty sight! I’m still in the process of processing all those photos. Posting these first will knock my flakes out of blogful order, but that’s snOw’kay ๐Ÿ˜‰

Now nearing the end of November with a month ’til Christmas, it’s great to have snow! Snow helps get ya into the Christmas spirit and helps get my nimble Christmas knitting fingers into gear! ๐Ÿ™‚

Hope it’s snowing well wherever you are! ๐Ÿ˜‰

  1. Great snow photos. What part of the world were these taken? I am from NYC and we usually don’t get snow until late December or January.

    • Thanks Andrew ๐Ÿ™‚ That’s a much shorter snow season than here! Are you hoping for a white Christmas? We’re at the 53rd parallel Nโ€”just south of Edmonton, Alberta on the Canadian prairies. Our snow usually arrives to stay by mid-late November. This year’s October snow was wAy ahead of schedule! ๐Ÿ™‚ ๐Ÿ’œ Jackie@KWH

    • Hi Ute ๐Ÿ™‚ We’re at the 53rd parallel Nโ€”just south of Edmonton, Alberta on the Canadian prairies. Snow from November ’til April is normal for us. Are you expecting snow in the UK this year? ๐Ÿ™‚ ๐Ÿ’œ Jackie@KWH

      • I though it was Canada, Jackie. Sure you have some lovely warm clothes to go with it! Knitted most of them for you ๐Ÿ™‚ They do say it will be a cold winter in the UK, but not so far, it has been only wet. Wet and windy , typical for London. We’ll see and wait for snow. . .

        • Yeah, they’ve predicted a ferocious winter for us tooโ€”but they’ve been wrong before ๐Ÿ˜‰ Windy/wet weather can be downright bone-chilling, so you’ll need to layer yourself in lovely handknit warmth as well! Our temps will inevitably drop quite low. But low humidity tends to be a ‘dry’ cold… LoL… Well, here’s hoping you’ll get just a few fluffy flakes for Christmas! ๐Ÿ™‚ ๐Ÿ’œ Jackie@KWH

          • That is the difference here it is damp not the dry cold as I am used to from Germany. Fluffy flakes sound great.

            • Interesting… ‘guess then, wintere in the UK is like Canada’s west coast (where we used to live) and Germany is like the prairies (where we live now) ๐Ÿ™‚ ๐Ÿ’œ Jackie@KWH

    • Great question, GP ๐Ÿ™‚ hmmm… Charity knitting groups in Canada seem to focus on warm/practical items like scarves, toques (hats), mitts and blankets… I’ll need to look into this more closely, so thanks for the reminder! ๐Ÿ™‚ ๐Ÿ’œ Jackie@KWH

  7. Your snow looks magical – lucky you! No snow here but it it sunny and mild in the 80s but that is typical for us. It did snow back in 2004, I think, but that was rare. All the best to you and happy Thanksgiving!

Here at the 53rd parallel N on the Canadian prairies, we expect there’ll be plenty of sunshine and snowful magic from now thru late March-early April! ๐Ÿ™‚ ๐Ÿ’œ Jackie@KWH

  14. The pictures are really pretty, but I’m glad you’re actually experiencing the weather. I am not a fan of cold. I used to say, if it’s going to be cold we may as well have snow. Then we actually had a winter with snow all the time. I no longer say that anymore. I do enjoy the pictures, though.
