Shamrockin’ Spring bracelet ♥ Do you felt lucky?

Shamrockin' Spring bracelet with split (heart-shaped layout) yarn tails

Hey there! Do you feel lucky? St. Patrick’s Day is coming up… The days are getting longer… And SPRING is in the air! Equinox is still over a week away, but half our snow is already melted! And with this weekend’s double-digit +Cº forecast, the rest will soon follow!!! A welcome change, since springtime around here tends to arrive rather late 😀

Some people say shamrocks are “lucky”, but for me they are simply a sweet sign of spring. I’m hoping this post will inspire you to knit ‘n felt my most recent design for a shamrockin’ fun-felted bling bracelet. It will surely have you feeling like spring 🙂

To get started, knit 4 Sweetie♥KNIT♥Hearts from feltable wool—leaving extra-long tails measuring approx 30″/75 cms in length. Sew all 4 of the Sweetie♥KNIT♥Heart points together. Secure all yarn tails on WS (wrong side). Then separate the yarn tail plies.
.

Okay… that’s all for now, but I’ll be back asap with photos demonstrating the rest of this “how to” for you! Then we can all wear handmade shamrockin’ bling this spring!  In the meantime, here’s Cary Grant in a movie clip from “Mr. Lucky” 1943. Watch now, as he demonstrates how real men knit 😉

I think it would be fun to add these shamrocks onto a knit hat! What fun for the kids, and a welcome to spring 🙂

Hey Jackie 🙂 this is very creative! I would’ve definitely ‘liked’ your page on Facebook but I don’t have Facebook no more. Instead I will continue my support here and just read posts and watch your videos 🙂

    • Hey thanks Janice 😀 Your support is much appreciated and my apologies for replying so tardily :-/ The weather has sprung into action, which is proving to be quite the distraction! Your blog said you met your man via fb, so that’s all you need, right? 😉 Knowing you’re able to view my videos without actually having to log-in to fb is good enough for me! 🙂 ♥ ❤

No need to apologise, Jackie 🙂 any reply at any time is appreciated. Haha, that would be a great distraction to go outside and enjoy it! I hope there’s plenty of sunshine there! It’s been raining, flooding and thunderstorms that feel like someone is stomping on your house at the moment, here in Sydney.

        • Oh no… thunder storms directly overhead can sound really scary! Hope you’re keeping dry and your place is not flooding! Around here, spring weather was quite summery, until yesterday that is… Nearly +20ºC yesterday and I was happily basking in the sun. But then a storm blew in around supper time and this AM we woke up all covered in white… sigh! Perfectly timed for April 1st, but oh well… it’s no joke 😦 ♥ ❤

Not too worry, not flooding in our area. That’s quite summery 🙂 hope you’re enjoying it! I’m sorry if I haven’t been very active lately. I’m unable to view posts multiple times because my Mac is in repair in stores. I’m just using my phone for the time being. But once I get my Mac back, I’ll be back!! Haha. We’ll have lots of conversations 🙂

            • Glad you’re keeping safe ‘n dry and no apologies necessary…. aside from mine, seeing as it’s been SO long since I’ve been by your dot! Hope you get your Mac back soon! Been there, done that last spring and called it the “KWH iPad show”… when my iMac went kapoot for 6 weeks! It was an exercise in blogfullness :-/ ♥ ❤
