Happy Birthday to Buster Keaton
(Oct. 4, 1895-Feb. 1, 1966)

Are you a Buster Keaton fan?
Buster Keaton is my all-time
favourite comedic film star!

Did you know he was a knitter?
Well, not knitting exactly…
This photo shows him holding
those needles all wrong.

But that’s okay!
He was the original funny man
(in my opinion) and has had me
(perhaps you too?) LOL-ing
for the past 5 years, or so 😀

The first Buster Keaton film I ever saw was a silent film titled “The Love Nest” (1923). That was the beginning of my quest to watch every film he ever made or appeared in! Now today, in honour of his birthday, my blogful delight is to have finally found a way to include him on my knitting blog 🙂

happy Buster Keaton’s birthday day! ❤ Jackie

SYNOPSIS: This short film from director Gerald Potterton (Heavy Metal) stars Buster Keaton in one of the last films of his long career. As “the railrodder”, Keaton crosses Canada from east to west on a railway track speeder. True to Keaton’s genre, the film is full of sight gags as our protagonist putt-putts his way to British Columbia. Not a word is spoken throughout, and Keaton is as spry and ingenious at fetching laughs as he was in the old days of the silent slapsticks.
