  3. So glad you love your computer because it sends us so much fun, smiles, and caring to all of us. You make all of our days happier!!!!!

And that is double for me who has been housebound almost totally since last June. lol And now with no knitting……………………..Today I am putting together an old fashioned actual jigsaw puzzle and not one on any techy device. So relaxing. Puts one all in a world of their own. But it does get lonely after awhile, so very glad for your computer!!!!!!

    • Dear Carol, thank you for your kind words of encouragement and blogful friendship 🙂 I’m so glad we could connect here and that you feel you’ve found a comfy place at my blog! ❤
I used to do jigsaw puzzles all the time, but you’ve now reminded me that I haven’t touched one in years… Funny, how time sweeps things away! You’ve had a rough winter, for sure. But spring will soon be upon you! ❤

      • Yes, it has given me a wake-up call, this year has. I was in a bit of a funk all weekend doing the puzzle and puzzling out my life at the same time. Today I finished the puzzle, have been watching the ice dancing at the Olympics, and decided I need an exercise program daily to train for “older age.” LOL So doing some cleaning and getting a little bit more chi in me today. Just house cleaning is a bit of a workout in itself like in the Karate Kid movies.
Pain and frustration was getting to me, lol, funny how puzzling out a 1,000 piece puzzle and the quiet for almost 3 days can help get one’s life back on track. I hadn’t done a jigsaw puzzle for so many years and one day I got an ad and the pictures on some just seemed so pretty that I thought I would try one again. I started getting some only with quilt in the pictures as quilting was my new challenge. Now I like some of the artists who do the folk art pictures. I can never afford their paintings, but a puzzle on sale I can get into the budget. lol A quiet reprieve from the hectic modern day world.
I would like to try doing some folk art paintings on canvas, but haven’t had the courage just yet. Working up to it though. lol First some whole hearted PT and house cleaning. I want to try knitting again soon, but the lower back and rotator cuff injury has halted that for awhile, so maybe time to try a bit of painting. lol Just went off balance reaching to far on the floor putting a wooden train track together for my grandson. Not even on the 6 ft. ladder painting the ceiling. All of the injuries have occurred just doing the normal everyday and nothing out of the ordinary. lol Maybe the pin pricking the voodoo doll theory works here, except I really don’t believe in that, but a wake-up call in life sometimes does occur it seems. I was slacking on the exercise A LOT.

        • Me too, love the ice dancing (skiing etc) at the Olympics 🙂 They make it look so easy, yet often endure injuries which will hopefully not creep back too sharply as they age. But that’s life it seems, and happens to the best of us 😦 All we can do is keep doing what we do, whenever we can do it, and for as long as we can do it! 🙂
Quilting and painting are two things I admire, yet will not likely ever be any good at. I’ve heard about some people laminating their puzzles upon completion. Do you save or break apart and re-pack your puzzles once they’re done? Take it easy on the housework and enjoy this day! 🙂 ❤

          • Yes, that is one of the problems. I do what I can when I can and can do nothing consistently enough to get really good at it. lol But it is fun! I just break them apart to do again and enjoy the picture briefly. lol I don’t do them often, just in a spurt and sputter for a time being. My time seems so limited to do anything besides spend time with my grandson who is really a very sociable companion chatting all day sharing his thoughts and excitement about the things in his life. He is a very positive determined little fellow that enjoys so much and wants to share the joy of it. lol

But for now that is my priority if I had to choose one. And when I have to choose one, it is always being with him. lol Except weekends which has to be my time off to just get back to my adult self and not just the child within me as I share “fun” with him. It can make me want to “play” all day and forget chores completely. My father was a designer and model maker for a toy company and toys are such a part of my growing up and the fun of them that to me toys seem a part of a normal everyday life. lol I love seeing how they work and how they motivate or encourage kids to play and learn. Being a teacher the 2 go hand in hand.

              • I like that quote you just made. lol I seem to vacillate between way too intense to way too much fun with total nonsense in my thinking or so my critics say. I am reading a really good light mystery by Jill Churchill, a Grace and Favor Mystery. It is second of hers I have read that has really been enjoyable, so I think I will try to reserve more in the series.
